HealthPoint Federal Way Medical Expansion Adds Eight Exam Rooms

January 21, 2009, Renton, WA - HealthPoint today announced completion of the expansion project at its Federal Way clinic location.

Located at 33431 13th Place South, much of the building that is shared with Public Health - Seattle & King County was remodeled to add eight new exam rooms and a telepharmacy. The new exam rooms bring the total to 20 rooms, each with a computer connection to operate the center's electronic health record system.  The center now has seven family medicine providers whose practices include pediatrics and obstetrics.  All providers are accepting new patients. The building is also home to HealthPoint's Federal Way three-chair dental clinic.

HealthPoint believes that quality health care should be available to everyone and serves those in the community who are members of Community Health Plan of Washington, Medicaid and other insurance plans, as well as those that are uninsured.  HealthPoint offers reduced fees to eligible, uninsured patients.  Of the 7000 patients served at the Federal Way center last year, 35% were without insurance and more than half were below the federal poverty level.
