Community Health Centers of King County Announces a New Name: HealthPointJune 15, 2008, Renton, WA - Community Health Centers of King County has changed its name to HealthPoint, the organization announced today. "Our new name - HealthPoint - marks the beginning of a new era for our organization and the communities we serve," CEO Thomas Trompeter said in announcing the name change. "We remain passionate about our core service - providing the best health care possible to our patients." He reflected on the mission of HealthPoint that shows in the passion to reach "beyond the walls of our buildings and work with the many other things that also affect the health of our patients and our communities." Education, housing and economic opportunity along with accessible health care are also essential for healthy people and healthy communities, he said. Trompeter noted that the new name better captures the organization's "commitment to both the individual patients and the communities in which they live. HealthPoint has always served as an important point of connection for the health of our patients and our communities." "As we begin this new era HealthPoint is committed to being a health care network whose connections reach into the broad aspects of our communities and whose health care is unparalleled - where our patients get great care and where we as an organization act in partnership with broad community for improved health and social outcomes for all," Trompeter said. Each of the organization's 12 clinic locations will now be known as HealthPoint rather than by the individual clinic name, Trompeter said. The change is intended to ensure consistency and reduce confusion by making it clear that every site is part of the same HealthPoint family of primary health centers, dental centers, and pharmacies. |
