Position is responsible for developing and designing analytical reporting from all available data sources with the organization and partner organizations. Position also responsible for performing analytic work which measures or quantifies the impact or effectiveness of specific programs and lines of business, as well as overall HealthPoint performance.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide guidance and direction to management regarding the availability of data to answer questions regarding corporate performance.
- Interface with high level internal and external contacts requiring considerable discretion, initiative, motivation, and follow through. Such contacts include HealthPoint providers, clinical staff, and health plan and insurance representatives.
- Compile, analyze and maintain ER utilization, managed care enrollment, cost and related statistical date by managed care line of business. Query data warehouses as needed. Develop action plans with appropriate parties (e.g.CHP, HCM, CSR's)
- Responsible for developing a high level of reliability and credibility of information with all who use and rely on the reporting produced by the position as well as preparing reports for appropriate level of management.
- Responsible for monthly CHP report analyses and dissemination of cost and utilization; as needed conduct further analyses by querying and mining data form internal and external data repositories.
- Provide data analytics expertise to quality improvement initiatives related to managed care lines of business, including root cause analyses, in order to design appropriate intervention for HealthPoint in the development of strategies to improve business and clinical quality.
- Production and analysis on a monthly basis of analytical reports requested by management.
- Defines business requirements and presents analyses/reports in clear and useful format to other departments, and to meet state and federal government contractual requirements.
- Exhibit initiative in exploring and discovering opportunities to improve corporate or program performance through data analysis.
- Acts as the liaison between business units and IT departments; completes business cases in support of projects; participates in or facilitates business modeling.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics and/or Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related, preferred, as well as 2-4 years of analytical experience within a healthcare environment.
- Experience with software analytic and reporting packages and advanced analytic features of Access and Excel.
- Proven experience with mining, managing, and modeling large data sets is preferred. Health plan experience preferred.
