Chief Financial Officer

Administration – F/T

Provides fiscal oversight and financial support information for HealthPoint's strategic direction. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide financial planning and decision support for the CEO, Executive Leadership Team and, as directed, the Board of Directors.
  • Participate in setting the corporation's strategic direction, including the financial strategic direction.
  • Prepare financial and other reports for internal and external reporting.
  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget.
  • Coordinate the corporation's annual audit and participate in other required financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of justice, respect, compassion, excellence and stewardship into appropriate programs and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and management general liability insurance.
  • Review contracts and program proposals for financial viability.
  • Review accounting and billing processes for functionality and effectiveness.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required. 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • This position supervises finance department staff. 

Education and/or Experience 

  • Bachelors degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university, and
  • Five to eight years experience in health care environment and multi-funded nonprofit organization; or
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.  

Computer Skills 

  • Advanced ability to operate computers and related software programs
