I became very interested in working with HealthPoint when I learned they worked with vulnerable populations such as refugees and those with language barriers in the healthcare system. I had prior experience working at the International Rescue Committee, a non profit that works with special immigrants and helps them assimilate into our healthcare system. I hope to serve and treat these populations as a medical student and as a future physician.
I went to the University of California, Davis for my undergrad and majored in Genetics and Genomics and minored in Human Rights. I then spent my gap year working as an emergency medical technician in various states.
In my free time I love to sew, take my dog on walks, travel, take pictures with my mirrorless camera, hike, and spend time with family and friends.
