About Me
I chose HealthPoint because I wanted to provide rapid, effective, evidence-based care to diverse clients as part of an interdisciplinary team, and to do so in the beautiful, mountain-studded region that for generations has been my family’s home.
My special interests include third-wave cognitive-behavioral therapies (e.g., ACT and FAP); postmodern therapies (e.g., narrative therapy and motivational interviewing); common factors in psychotherapy; the importance of strong relationships between providers and patients and how to build such relationships; the use of self-disclosure and storytelling in medicine; and harnessing placebo effects.
Reading science fiction stories, going for long walks around Seattle, playing with my Husky.
