Also, listening to the underlying context of what the patient is presenting as the problem. Some individuals have difficulty articulating the root of the problem/concern.

About Me
I chose HealthPoint because of the services and care they provide for the populations and communities that they serve. This position allows me to utilize my experiences in both community and medical social work.
My special interests include working with patients and families experiencing challenging behaviors. I believe that there is a reason for behaviors and it takes time, listening, and understanding to address the underlying issues. I also enjoy working with individuals with serious mental health concerns and people experiencing homelessness.
When I'm not working, I enjoy watching sports, particularly the Chicago White Sox (Go Go White Sox) and Green Bay Packers (Go Pack Go). Also, since I have only been in Washington since the middle of May 2019, I enjoy spending time with my husband exploring the area around us and all that Washington has to offer.
