HealthPoint received a Quality Improvement Award in the amount of $55,898 from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for high performance in Quality Improvement (QI) and is recognized as a "Health Center Quality Leader".

This designation means HealthPoint ranks among the top 30% of all health centers nationwide achieving the best overall clinical outcomes, demonstrating an ability to focus on quality in all aspects of clinical operations. This is based on clinical data showing that HealthPoint is meeting or exceeding clinical benchmarks for chronic disease management, preventive care, and perinatal/prenatal care. For example, health centers that fall in this category have diabetes control greater than 84%. Health Center Quality Leaders are health centers that have the highest performance compared to their health center peers using risk-adjusted quartile rankings.

The US Health and Human Services Secretary, Sylvia M. Burwell, explains:  “This funding rewards health centers that have a proven track record in clinical quality improvement, which translates to better patient care, and it allows them to expand and improve their systems and infrastructure to bring the highest quality primary care services to the communities they serve."

The Quality Improvement awards are designed with three goals in mind: “to improve health center clinical quality, improve patient outcomes, and recognize efforts at building systems and processes that support ongoing quality improvement and practice redesign”.

This recognition is a credit to the hard work of our staff and their dedication to top quality health care for our patients.

Thank you to HRSA for the funding!
