HealthPoint, a community health center that serves more than 100,000 patients in King County, opened a new clinic to bring affordable, quality health care to the Sunset Neighborhood of Renton. This clinic is a partnership between HealthPoint, the Renton Housing Authority, St. Vincent de Paul, Valley Cities, and Neighborhood House, and is located in the new Sunset Neighborhood Center, previously Renton Highlands Library, 2902 NE 12th Street, Suite #102, Renton, WA, 98056.

HealthPoint at Sunset Neighborhood Center offers health care for the whole family. HealthPoint's integrated approach to care focuses on treating the whole person. Patients can access medical and behavioral health care, nutrition education, family planning services, treatment and management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, and more. HealthPoint assists patients with signing up for insurance, and offers a sliding-scale fee to make care affordable regardless of a person’s income. Interpreters are available and many of HealthPoint’s staff speak more than one language.

In addition to in-person appointments, HealthPoint at Sunset Neighborhood Center offers telehealth appointments. Telehealth is a great option for patients who are at high risk of COVID-19, and a convenient way to receive care for minor illnesses and check-ups.

The partners opened this new clinic in response to needs identified by the Sunset community for greater access to health care. The Sunset neighborhood is the focus of a transformative effort by the City of Renton to improve health, housing, and economic and educational opportunity for residents.

“Our mission at HealthPoint is to strengthen communities and improve people’s health.  We believe everyone in our community deserves an equal opportunity for health no matter their circumstances.” says Lisa Yohalem, President & CEO of HealthPoint. “HealthPoint is honored to partner with the Renton Housing Authority and the City of Renton to provide accessible, affordable, compassionate health care to the Sunset community.”

A statement from Renton Housing Authority: “Renton Housing Authority is proud to partner with HealthPoint, Valley Cities, St. Vincent de Paul, and Neighborhood House to bring essential services within walking distance to so many residents in the Sunset area. As part of our mission of providing affordable housing, we believe it is also necessary to make human and social services accessible in places where people live. We are very much invested in successful outcomes for our community and are excited to see the vision of the Sunset Neighborhood Center come alive.”
