How to Get Help When Phones are Busy

HealthPoint is receiving a very high number of calls related to COVID-19 testing. Callers are experiencing very long wait times and disconnections. We are deeply sorry for the frustration and worry this causes our patients.  

Here are some things to know if you are trying to call us. If you: 

Are trying to make an appointment (not for COVID-19 testing), or you need your test results:

We recommend you use MyHealthPoint Patient Portal. You can use MyHealthPoint to make appointments, get lab results (including COVID-19 test results) request prescription refills, and communicate with your provider without needing to call.

Want to know if you should be tested for COVID-19:

If you answer Yes to any of the below, call 1-866-893-5717 to schedule a test. 

- Have new symptoms including cough, fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, chills, headaches, muscle aches, loss of smell, loss of taste, nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea. 

- Have been exposed to someone with a confirmed case of who tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 2 weeks 

- Visited, worked in, or lived in a nursing facility or nursing home in the last 2 weeks 

- Lived in or worked in a homeless shelter, meat packing plant or other crowded group setting in the last 2 weeks 

- Had prolonged close contact to other people in a large group event (such as a march or protest) in the last 2 weeks 

- Are one or more of the following: Black/African American, Latinx/Latino/Latina/Hispanic, Native American, and/or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander.

 

HealthPoint is not currently able to test people for ‘return to work’ or travel reasons. This list of other testing sites may be able to test you for these or any other reason not listed aove.
 

Have been tested for COVID-19 and need your results:

Your results will typically be available in 3-5 days after your test. Please wait 7 days before calling HealthPoint if you have not received your results

If you test positive for COVID-19:  

You will receive a call from a medical provider the same day we receive the results from the lab. You will also receive an email or letter for your records.  

If you test negative for COVID-19, you will receive your results in the following ways:

- HealthPoint will email your results if you shared your email address with us 

- HealthPoint will mail you a letter if we do not have your email address 

- Use your MyHealthPoint Patient Portal account to view your results 

You can also view your results directly with the LabCorp Portal: https://patient.labcorp.com.
