At HealthPoint, whole person care is more than what happens inside the exam room. With the support of a $343,500 Clean Energy Grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce, we are taking that commitment even further—integrating clean energy into our newest location, Tukwila Commons, opening in late 2026.

HealthPoint is proud to be among nearly 100 organizations statewide selected for this investment in a healthier, more sustainable future. These grants advance shared goals to reduce carbon emissions, expand access to renewable energy, improve energy efficiency in community spaces, and build more resilient communities.
At Tukwila Commons, sustainability is not an afterthought—it is foundational. Shaped by extensive community input, our newest location is built by a sustainability- and community-minded general contractor, BNBuilders; reflects a strong community desire for environmentally responsible spaces that support health and well-being.

Designed as a true community hub, Tukwila Commons will bring together high-quality care and thoughtful, green design. Key features include:
- LEED Gold certification, reflecting high standards for sustainability and efficiency
- Rooftop solar energy is reducing reliance on traditional power sources
- A large underground water retention system, designed to manage stormwater, conserve resources, and help prevent flooding
- Cross-laminated timber construction, using sustainably sourced materials to reduce environmental impact
- Expanded green spaces, transforming a traditionally concrete corridor into a healthier environment with trees and vegetation that improve air quality and reduce heat
Together, these elements will create a care environment that is not only energy efficient, but also safer, more comfortable, and deeply connected to the needs of the community.
This investment in clean energy is an investment in health. Patients at Tukwila Commons will benefit not only from integrated, whole-person care but from surroundings designed to support their well-being at every level.

Tukwila Commons is just the beginning. As a welcoming, inclusive space and a vital community anchor, it represents where sustainable innovation meets equitable access to care.
