According to Lisa Stiffler's Healthcare Checkup Blog in The Seattle Times (1/9/2015), the message clearly targets “young invincibles” who feel confident that they’re unlikely to get ill or hurt and don’t see the need to buy insurance.
“We don’t always have control over when we get sick or when an accident strikes,” Sherman warns.
“Today too many Washingtonians are living without health insurance, which is a risk not worth taking,” adds Wilson.
Americans needing individual health insurance plans have until Feb. 15 to purchase coverage either through the state’s insurance exchange, called Washington Healthplanfinder, or from a broker or insurance company. Read Lisa's full blog here.
