Redefining Health in South King County
The HealthPoint Tukwila Commons will be more than just a medical clinic — it will be a hub for health, opportunity, and community connection in the heart of Tukwila.
True health isn’t just about doctor visits. It’s about addressing social, economic, and cultural barriers to well-being. That’s why, after 54 years of providing quality healthcare in standalone clinics, HealthPoint is evolving to deliver care with complementary community services.
Capital Project to Provide Health Beyond Health Care
In June 2025, HealthPoint broke ground on Phase 1 of the Tukwila Commons capital project.

Construction is underway, with the doors set to open on Phase 1 in the fall of 2026.
Construction progress as of February 2026
The first phase will deliver:
-
An expanded HealthPoint clinic that serves as a one-stop shop for culturally appropriate medical, dental, behavioral health, naturopathic care, substance use treatment, and pharmacy, among other expanded services.
-
HealthPoint’s existing facility in Tukwila serves 4,000 patients each year. The new facility will double that capacity.
-
On-site, integrated social services, case management, and language access tools.
-
An early childhood development center for birth to pre-K – to be operated by our partner, the YMCA of Greater Seattle – that will fill a critical gap with high-quality, subsidized care in this area designated as a “childcare access desert” by the WA State Department of Children, Youth & Families.
-
Space for future program expansion

The new HealthPoint Tukwila Commons will be centrally located on Tukwila International Boulevard at 146th – it is on three bus routes, less than a mile to light rail, and next to Foster High School and the new Tukwila Village retail center topped by affordable housing for seniors.
About the Tukwila Population We Serve
Tukwila is a vibrant and diverse community located just south of Seattle. The community’s multicultural heritage is reflected in the rich cultural opportunities and the 80+ different languages you might hear on the streets.
Tukwila residents experience significant health and financial disparities when compared to King County. Nearly triple the rate of residents are in ‘fair or poor health’ (30%), with more than double the rate of uninsured residents (17%), and 20% of households receiving food stamps. (Source)
Phase 2 of Capital Project to Expand Services

HealthPoint is currently exploring what Phase 2 could look like, with a focus on spaces and programs that promote community health and connection. Options under consideration include:
-
Community gathering spaces for education, events, and wellness activities
-
Green space and outdoor play areas
-
Flexible space for nonprofit providers and vital local services
