HealthPoint offers a one-year dental residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. This program advances a resident’s skills in general dentistry well-beyond traditional school-based or clinic-only based programs.
To hone skills, residents are guided and mentored by on-site faculty while providing dental care to ethnically-diverse and vulnerable populations. The training and experience in comprehensive multidisciplinary oral health care is at a level of skill and complexity beyond that accomplished in pre-doctoral training.
We emphasize clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, as well as learning comprehensive care that addresses the patient's needs, desires, and limitations. Our patients may include those with very complex medical histories, and pediatric or geriatric medical complications.
