National Health Center Week: Proud to be a CHC

Share

This is the time of the year when the National Association of Community Health Centers recognizes the work of Community Health Centers like HealthPoint and our work in the community (upcoming events here).

In proclaiming this National Health Center Week, President Obama said, “In small towns and big cities, Health Centers serve as a trusted network, connecting patients with community resources . . .This week, we recognize the importance of Health Centers and the critical support they provide to communities that need it most.”

Health Centers across the country serve more than 22 million people. At HealthPoint, 70,000 people just this year are counting on us to be their health care home. We recognize that we couldn't do any of it without the support of our community partners, staff, and donors who have been there for us every step of the way.

With support from many, HealthPoint has met and exceeded state and national clinical performance benchmarks on a variety of measures such as diabetes control, dental treatment completion, and satisfaction with doctor's and dentist's knowledge, advice and treatment. We've also earned the highest level recognition as a Patient-Centered Medical Home (National Committee for Quality Assurance).

Day in and day out, we work with individuals to improve their health with our eye on strengthening communities by breaking down barriers and providing access to all, regardless of their circumstances. We are proud to be a Community Health Center.
