About Me
I chose HealthPoint because I like to be part of an integrated health care team serving often underserved populations and I believe in functional improvements that can be achieved through Behavioral Health Interventions. I also enjoy the diversity of the patients at HealthPoint. It is a pleasure to mentor and empower students as part of their training, and I find this opportunity very rewarding.
My special interests include trauma-informed care; honoring intersectional diversities; relaxation training; nutrition; coping skills; interpersonal effectiveness; personal empowerment; healthy living while managing a chronic disease. My theoretical orientation is integrative: CBT and ACT, humanistic, psychodynamic with EMDR, ART and MI woven in.
