Health is a Habit

Many people are looking for a miracle solution for dieting and weight loss. A magic pill or an extreme fad diet are just two examples. As a future health care provider, I would like to propose that the solution so many are searching for is much simpler than “fat burning” herbs or an expensive gimmick product.

Health is a habit. The daily choices that we make regarding how much we eat or exercise contribute to our health in the long run. It is often said that the best diet is one that you can stick with – and I could not agree more. Making small steps toward a healthier diet or more active lifestyle will help to build good habits that promote health.

These small steps can be something as simple as eating one less piece of bread during a meal or setting aside a few minutes for a walk each day. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle shouldn’t seem like an impossible task. It is important to keep in mind that all our individual choices feed into our overall health. This means that even small changes can have powerful cumulative effects. This concept is what inspired the creation of Sprout: A Healthy Eating Program.

The Sprout program focuses on simple practices, reachable outcomes, and useful teachings. Sprout aims to give people the tools they need to make meaningful changes in their diets.

We will be at HealthPoint Midway on Tuesday, February 21st and Wednesday, February 22nd from 5:00 to 8:00PM, and on Thursday, February 23rd from 9:30AM to 12:30PM.  We welcome you to join us for free samples, recipes, and resource to help you start making health your habit.

Missed the events? Not to worry!  You can still participate in the Sprout Healthy Eating Program by visiting our website and subscribing to our YouTube channel.
